Produced by Stanley Kwan and Wong Kar Wai's Jet Tone Films, Miao Miao gently explores the trials of young love and lonely longing. Struggling to adjust to her new life in Taipei, introverted schoolgirl Miao Miao (Ke Jia Yan) opens up after meeting outgoing classmate Xiao Ai (Sandrine Pinna, Candy Rain) who becomes increasingly enamoured with her new friend. Unaware of Xiao Ai's confused feelings for her, Miao Miao falls for brooding CD shop owner Chen Fei (Fan Zhi Wei, The Best of Times), who seems determined to block out the world with a pair of headphones. -yesasia
